Random Thoughts

I tend to think of things to blog about throughout the day, but by the time I get to my computer to write, I’ve forgotten most of them. Maybe I should start using my voice recorder more often.

I’ve had a headache all day, woke up with it, took 4 Target brand migraine relief pills over the course of the day, and ended up taking two Hydrocodones before it was all said and done. Now I’m sleepy and drugged, but still cant fall asleep. I’ve been taking Ambien every night for almost two months, and when I don’t take it, I lie awake most of the night. What an endless cycle! I won’t take one tonight, because of the hydrocodone I just took.

Lately I’ve gotten into reading peoples daily blogs. I use bloglines to keep updated on each one. They vary from crafts, to saving money, to friends blogs, to trying to get organized. I find it fascinating what other people write, and wonder if others find my entries to be even the least bit interesting.

Some people just have no couth!

Last night we went to Ruth’s Chris for dinner.  So we were sitting there, enjoying our appetizers, when in comes a loud crowd of people in t-shirts and shorts.  Our table was upstairs, but I could look over the balcony and see the as they stood waiting for a table (actually, tables, since there was at least 10 0f them and tables had to be slid together for them).  Their voices were carried up to us and it was extremely distrupting to our nice quiet dinner.

Anyway, they were brought upstairs and shown to their table.  We just couldn’t understand how they could show up a nice restaurant dressed in t-shirts and shorts, but then it just got better.  They had three teenage girls with them, who ended up sitting at their own table.  One girl then proceded to take her flip-flop off and pick at her toes!   Not only that, but she was crawling around on the floor under the table like a baboon.  The adults did nothing, heck, they hardly turned their heads to check on the girls throughout dinner.  Another of the girls was tipping her chair back on two legs, yelling across to her dad.  I was just…… well I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

I wanted to get up and walk over to their table and address the parents, but I couldn’t think of a way to address them nicely, so I decided to try and ignore them.

New habits are hard to start!

I’m not on CPAP anymore. The loaner machine had to go back, and my insurance won’t cover getting one because I don’t have a severe enough problem.

I’m not working, haven’t since December 19th. The thought of going back to another mundane, “9 to 5″ job gives me knots in my stomach. I’m enjoying being home, getting the house cleaned up little by little, and finding new, interesting websites to read!
